NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Denver consulting team.
As a Senior Accountant consultant, youll supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities. Senior Accountant responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. The day-to-day responsibilities of our Senior Accountant will vary significantly depending on a companys size and needs.
To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors
Qualifications:
- Accounting or Finance degree (BS/BA/MBA)
- Previous experience in accounting management or other related fields
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Client service and results-focused
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
