We are seeking an experienced Controller Consultant to support our client in stabilizing their finance department. This role requires a hands-on approach to accounting operations, with a focus on forensic accounting, process improvements, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting Support: Dig into the trial balance, reconcile accounts, and identify any exposures or issues.
• Process Improvements: Implement and optimize accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely closing of books.
• Team Leadership: Act as the interim finance lead, managing a team of 6 and driving business operations.
• Financial Analysis: Identify opportunities and exposures on the balance sheet and provide actionable insights.
• Travel: Monthly travel to Mexico (potentially twice a month) to oversee operations and ensure alignment.
• System Management: Utilize Dynamics 365 for accounting and financial management.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in accounting and finance, with a forensic mindset.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize accounting processes.
• Location: Based in Boston, MA, with willingness to travel to Mexico monthly.
• Regional Experience: Experience working in or with Latin America is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Dynamics 365 and other accounting software.
• Education: Bachelor's in accounting or finance.
