Job Title: Project Scheduler

Location: Spartanburg, SC (local candidates only)

Headquartered: Spartanburg, SC

Status of Hire: Full-time, direct hire, salaried exempt

Pay: $75,000-$85,000 base salary

Summary: The Project Scheduler will support the planning, scheduling, and execution of industrial construction and millwright projects from initiation through completion. This individual will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, and clients to develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, identify schedule risks, and ensure projects remain on track. This role is ideal for an early-career professional, recent college graduate, or candidate with internships and up to five years of experience who is looking to build a long-term career in industrial construction project controls.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and field teams to gather project information, milestones, resource requirements, and schedule updates.
• Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules.
• Identify potential delays, schedule conflicts and critical path impacts, and communicate findings to project leadership.
• Assist with schedule development during project bidding, planning, and execution phases.
• Generate weekly and monthly schedule reports for internal management and client review.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, labor allocations, and equipment requirements.
• Support project teams with forecasting activities and schedule recovery plans when needed.
• Participate in project meetings and document schedule-related action items and updates.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records related to scheduling activities.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project timelines are achievable and aligned.
• Assist in improving scheduling processes, reporting tools, and project controls procedures.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and schedule accuracy.
• Travel regularly to active project sites to verify progress, gather updates, and support project teams.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
• Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Internship experience or up to five years of experience in construction, project scheduling, project controls, engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project is required.
• Experience with Primavera P6 is preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to read and understand construction schedules, project plans, and project documentation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn industrial construction and millwright operations.
• Ability to work effectively with project teams, field personnel, clients, and subcontractors.
• Solution-oriented mindset with a strong desire for professional growth and development.

Work Environment: A combination of office work and travel to active industrial construction project sites.

Travel Required: Must be willing and able to work from the Spartanburg, SC office and travel approximately 50% of the time to project sites throughout the Southeast and other locations as required.
