What are the responsibilities and job description for the K-8 School Permanent Substitute position at Troy Elementary School?
Troy School is looking for looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual to join its team as a permanent substitute for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time position up to 7.5 hours per day, school session. The permanent substitute will fill in for various positions as needed throughout the school, so the assignment will change daily. Previous experience working with children is a must.
Specific Position Requirements/Qualifications: Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work effectively within a team environment and a willingness to participate in training opportunities. Physical stamina, positive energetic attitude, openness to new learning, and willingness to work with students in grades Prek-8 are required. Candidates must meet the district’s requirements: minimum of 48 college credits; or successfully passing the Para Pro or Master Teacher assessment tests. However, candidates with an Associate or bachelor’s degree are preferred.
Salary & Benefits: As per Support Staff Agreement. Hourly rate between $21.35 and $23.00 depending on previous experience.
