Position: Senior Construction Project ManagerSalary: $110,000-$130,000Location: Saint Charles, IL A Construction Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for directing construction projects from initial planning through final delivery. Their role ensures that each project meets quality expectations, stays within budget, and is completed on schedule. This position requires strong leadership, effective coordination, and thorough oversight of all construction activities.Key Responsibilities1. Leadership, Team Coordination & CommunicationServe as the primary liaison for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.Lead and oversee on-site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure cohesive project execution.Facilitate ongoing communication among all stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.Hold regular progress meetings to review milestones, address challenges, and provide updates.2. Project Planning & SchedulingDevelop comprehensive project plans including timelines, milestones, and deadlines.Coordinate labor, subcontractors, and material deliveries to support timely progress.Identify potential scheduling risks and develop contingency strategies.Ensure schedules meet client expectations and contractual obligations.3. Budgeting & Cost ControlCreate and manage project budgets, ensuring financial compliance throughout all phases.Track expenditures, approve contractor and supplier invoices, and maintain accurate forecasting.Manage change orders and evaluate any scope adjustments that may impact costs.4. Procurement & Contract ManagementOversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors.Ensure all deliverables, deadlines, and payment terms align with contractual requirements.5. Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure all construction activities meet required quality standards and adhere to building codes.Conduct routine inspections to verify workmanship and identify deficiencies.Confirm that materials and methods meet safety and specification standards.6. Risk & Safety ManagementIdentify risks during planning and execution, implementing strategies to minimize them.Resolve issues related to delays, conflicts, or unforeseen obstacles.Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.7. Documentation & ReportingMaintain up-to-date records including permits, contracts, change orders, daily logs, and safety reports.Prepare project status reports for clients, management, and regulatory agencies.Ensure all required inspections and permits are obtained in a timely manner.8. Problem-Solving & Decision-MakingAddress construction-related issues promptly to keep projects on schedule.Troubleshoot challenges involving labor, materials, design discrepancies, or logistics.Make timely decisions that support project stability and financial efficiency.9. Client Relations & SatisfactionAct as the client’s main point of contact throughout the project.Provide regular updates on progress, timelines, and any arising concerns.Handle client feedback and address issues with professionalism and urgency.10.
