We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Accountant to play a pivotal role within our Finance & Accounting department. This full-time, on-site opportunity offers the chance to lead critical accounting functions, ensure compliance, and contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced environment committed to excellence and growth.

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing general accounting functions such as maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and managing month-end and year-end closing processes. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the annual audit process

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5-10 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Microsoft Business Central, Accounting CS, or Emburse Professional
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• High accuracy with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in the staffing or light industrial sectors
• Familiarity with financial reporting and forecasting
• Prior involvement in audit processes
• CPA certification or eligibility (preferred but not required)

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in a corporate finance setting

• Willingness to work on-site in the Greater Chicago Area
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and a commitment to meeting deadlines
