In this pivotal role, you'll ensure our financial records are accurate, timely, and aligned with our business goals, helping leadership gain critical insights into project profitability and operational efficiency. Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally within construction, trades, or manufacturing sectors
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, reconciliations, and reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with field teams, vendors, and leadership
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with job costing in carpentry, millwork, or subcontracting environments
- Familiarity with labor tracking, material costing, and project billing
- Exposure to MRP or ERP systems like NetSuite, Sage 100 Contractor, or similar platforms
- Understanding of inventory-related financial tracking for materials and shop operations
- Ability to streamline and enhance accounting processes as the company scales
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior experience in construction, trades, or manufacturing environments is highly valued
- Proven track record managing accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and project-related expenses
Other Requirements
- Ability to coordinate with outside CPA or tax professionals during audits and tax season
- Organized with a proactive approach to managing digital and paper financial records
- Comfortable working in a growing business where systems and processes evolve over time
