Position Summary
The Precast Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, safety, production performance, quality control, staffing, and operational efficiency of the precast manufacturing facility. This role ensures production targets are met while maintaining compliance with company standards, OSHA regulations, and customer expectations. The plant Manager drives continuous improvement across plant operations and fosters a strong safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities
Operation & Production Management
- Oversee daily plant operations to ensure production schedules are met safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Ensure all products meet or exceed customer quality expectations and company standards.
- Coordinate production planning and schedule raw material deliveries required for operations.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to support customer demand and production continuity.
- Monitor plant performance metrics and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and corrective action follow-ups.
- Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations
Quality Assurance
- Support implementation and maintenance of testing procedures and certifications.
- Maintain compliance with ACI standards and other applicable industry requirements.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards for precast concrete production.
Maintenance & Facility Oversight
- Ensure plant equipment and facilities are maintained in excellent mechanical and operational condition.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain plant cleanliness and organization consistent with company expectations.
Team Leadership & Employee Management
- Supervise plant personnel, including operators, technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure employees work efficiently and consistently within company policies and procedures.
- Provide coaching, training, performance feedback, and disciplinary action when required.
- Promote teamwork and maintain strong working relationships across departments.
Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of daily production and operational paperwork.
- Monitor staffing levels and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with leadership on production planning, budgeting, and operational improvements.
- Maintain effective communication with internal departments and external agencies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in precast concrete manufacturing.
- Bilingual- English and Spanish
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of plant operations, production scheduling, and inventory control.
- Excellent math and computer skills.
- Strong bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish preferred).
- Ability to obtain (or currently hold) ACI Level I Field Testing Technician certification.
- Willingness to work Saturdays when production demands require.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Previous experience managing a precast concrete plant.
- Experience with OSHA compliance and safety program implementation.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
