What You’ll Do:
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes by analyzing product requirements, researching, designing, and testing new methods and equipment
- Evaluate existing workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement
- Lead process improvement initiatives, troubleshooting, and project management to ensure seamless production launches
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to design, test, and implement production flow, assembly methods, and tools
- Prepare detailed layouts and procedures, train team members, and oversee the deployment of new or revised products
- Analyze products and processes for safety, efficiency, and quality, proposing innovative solutions to existing challenges
- Manage documentation and coordinate production goals to meet budgetary targets and performance standards
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical paperwork accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication, team collaboration, and project management skills
- Capable of handling a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with manufacturing tool design, fixtures, and machinery development
- Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is highly preferred
- Associate degree coupled with relevant industry experience may also be considered
Additional Requirements:
- Onsite position with exposure to mechanical parts, vibrations, and moderate noise levels
- Regular physical activity including standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasional climbing or stooping
- Ability to work near moving parts and electrical components safely
