The Café Attendant is a cross-trained team member responsible for preparing and serving food, assisting customers, and supporting all aspects of daily café operations while maintaining food quality, safety, and exceptional customer service.
- Food Preparation:
- Prepare and set up stations for daily service.
- Stock service stations with supplies such as ice, napkins, straws, and utensils.
- Perform food preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, carving meats, and packaging soups and salads.
- Greet customers with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Plan food preparation so that items served together are ready at the same time.
- Plate and package food orders according to customer requests and presentation standards.
- Add relishes and garnishes to food orders according to instructions.
- Serve customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
- Respond to customer questions and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Restock kitchen supplies, rotate food products, and label food with the appropriate date and time.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation equipment, work areas, counters, and tables.
- Perform general cleaning duties throughout the kitchen.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
- 1 years experience in food service
- Experience working in a cafeteria setting (or similar) preferred
- Top notch customer service skills
- $16/hr
