We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused Relationship Manager to serve as the primary liaison between our firm and our portfolio of growing consumer brands.
Role Overview
The Relationship Manager will act as the strategic point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, strong communication, and long-term partnership growth. This role bridges client leadership and our internal finance teams, ensuring alignment, execution excellence, and proactive financial guidance.
You will build trusted relationships with founders and executives while overseeing engagement performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring clients receive maximum value from our services.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship & Advisory
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with founders and executive leadership.
- Understand each client’s business model, goals, and financial priorities.
- Provide strategic guidance by translating financial data into actionable insights.
- Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews with clients.
Engagement Oversight & Delivery
- Coordinate with internal accounting and finance teams to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
- Monitor engagement health, deadlines, and service standards.
- Ensure financial reports, forecasts, and analyses are delivered clearly and accurately.
- Proactively identify risks, gaps, or opportunities for operational improvements.
Strategic Growth & Retention
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.
- Support onboarding of new clients and ensure smooth transitions.
- Maintain high client satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Act as an escalation point for client concerns and resolve issues effectively.
Process & Performance Optimization
- Recommend best practices to strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
- Support clients through budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and financial milestones.
- Contribute feedback to improve internal workflows and client experience.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, client management, or advisory roles.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience in consumer goods, high-growth startups, or consulting/multi-client environments preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data strategically.
- Proficiency in Excel and modern accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
