Full Job Description:
- Install, align, and lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades or other fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
- Operate, position, align, or secure workpieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal.
- Adjust machine speeds, forces, and back gauges according to product specifications and use gauges and CNC controls to make adjustments.
- Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
- Examine completed workpieces for defects such as cracked edges and marred surfaces, and sort defective pieces according to the types of flaws.
- Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
- Read work orders, production schedules, and prints to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of bend lines, the orientation of the part before bending, and dimensions and tolerances.
- Work steadily and efficiently within established workflows and production schedules to achieve OTD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, but not limited to
- Understanding of material characteristics (steel, aluminum, stainless)
- Ability to reach and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience producing high-precision parts for manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly
- Skilled use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, angle finders, height gauges)
Required Qualifications:
- Basic ability to read a tape measure and perform simple math
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn precision work
- Basic understanding of tools or mechanical processes (personal or hobby use is helpful)
- Ability to adhere to all machine and operator safety guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for most of the shift
- Strong attention to detail and steady, methodical work style
- Must be willing and able to perform any job assignment as production levels shift and job priorities change

Wages:
- $20.00- $21.00
- You will have an opportunity to earn an additional $1.50 an hour
