Triton Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of K–12 public school construction projects. This role is responsible for full project lifecycle management, including budget, schedule, contractor coordination, and client relationships.
The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Owners, Architects, and Contractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract documents and NYSED requirements.
Project Leadership & Oversight
- Lead all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage multiple prime contractors and ensure alignment with project goals
- Serve as the primary liaison with school districts, design teams, and stakeholders
- Chair project meetings and present updates to public stakeholders
Financial & Contract Management
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets and cost controls
- Review and manage change orders, claims, and contract modifications
- Review contractor payment requisitions and provide recommendations for approval
- Maintain accurate cost reporting, logs, and forecasting
Schedule & Coordination
- Oversee project schedules (Primavera, Microsoft Project) and milestone tracking
- Ensure timely flow of RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to schedule and budget
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to contract documents, NYSED requirements, and public sector standards
- Oversee quality control and field execution
- Promote jobsite safety and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–10 years of construction/project management experience
- Experience with K–12, NYSED, or public agency construction projects strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Procore, Primavera, and Microsoft Project
