Ahn Construction Group is a growing general contracting company based in Williston Park, NY. We manage commercial and high-end residential construction projects throughout Long Island, New York City, and the surrounding metro area.
Our work includes commercial interiors, banks, restaurants, medical offices, retail spaces, office buildouts, and select residential projects. We are looking for an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Position Overview
The Senior Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, client communication, project documentation, inspections, and closeout. This role requires someone who is organized, accountable, and comfortable working directly with owners, architects, engineers, building management, inspectors, subcontractors, and field teams.
This is a key position for our company as we continue to grow and improve our project management systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, proposals, contracts, and project documents
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, meeting minutes, and closeout documentation
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, building management, inspectors, and field teams
- Conduct jobsite visits, project meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and owner updates
- Monitor field progress, quality, safety, and schedule compliance
- Identify project risks early and develop practical solutions
- Track costs, change orders, procurement, project status, and pending issues
- Manage inspections, punch lists, closeout documents, and final turnover
- Help improve internal project management procedures, templates, reporting, and software usage
- Mentor junior staff, coordinators, assistant project managers, and field team members as needed
Qualifications
- 8 years of construction project management experience
- Experience managing commercial interiors, renovations, occupied spaces, or similar construction projects
- Ability to independently manage multiple active projects
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination
- Experience managing projects in NYC, Long Island, or the surrounding metro area
- Familiarity with permitting, inspections, DOB coordination, building management requirements, and code-related coordination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, PDF drawings, and construction management software
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in NYC and Long Island
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with banks, restaurants, medical offices, retail, office buildouts, or occupied renovations
- Familiarity with Procore, Contractor Foreman, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Microsoft Project, or similar software
- Existing subcontractor relationships in the NYC / Long Island area
- Experience helping improve project management systems for a growing construction company
- Korean language ability is a plus, but not required

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000 – $165,000 per year, based on experience
