Job summary: Field tech 2 performs various duties pertaining to the installation and general maintenance of cable and fiber networks. Field tech 2 should be fully proficient in use of all power tools and equipment related to job. Must have a solid understanding of general construction and have excellent communication skills. Must be able to work both independently and with a team. Typical scopes of work: New construction wiring Wiring of fiber feeds into commercial businesses Proofing and placing cables into underground conduits Responsibilities: Ability to read and understand plans related to project Proper use of power and hand tools Capable of handling 28' extension ladder independently Capable of safely driving a full size bucket truck with trailer Capable of determining best routes and pathways to install cables and find alternate solutions when necessary Must be able to lift 80 lbs. Must be able communicate with customers and management clearly Must be able to properly delegate work to others to most efficiently complete tasks 9 be able to identify and understand all types of cables and fibers worked with Experience and education: High School diploma and 5 years general construction related experience preferred Experience specifically within the telecommunications field helpful Pay Range: $29 - $35 per hour
