Key Responsibilities
- Lead inventory period and quarterly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Oversee store inventory reconciliation, collaborating with merchandising, store operations, and distribution centers
- Mentor and develop a team of staff accountants, fostering analytical thinking and professional growth
- Partner with cross-functional teams and departments to support major projects, testing, and system stability
- Work closely with auditors to meet reporting deadlines and prepare audit schedules
- Provide weekly inventory analysis and forecast adjustments to improve gross margin and financial insights
Qualifications / What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with retail or inventory experience
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Strong analytical mindset with a questioning attitude
- Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting, and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
