Job Summary
TriSource is seeking a dedicated and flexible Clinical Social Worker to support our Newark, DE office for a temporary duration of approximately 30 to 90 days. This role is designed to support an increased caseload by providing high-quality clinical services to at-risk children and foster families.
The ideal candidate will manage a flexible schedule of 20–30 hours per week (typically 6 hours a day for 4–5 days) to meet client needs, including supervised visits and community-based advocacy.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Child Psychology, Family Studies, or Sociology.
- Experience: Proven experience providing services to at-risk children. Knowledge of evidence-based models or a strengths perspective is highly desirable.
- Transportation: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. You must be able to travel within the Delaware region and transport clients as a core function of the position.
- Schedule: Ability to work 20–30 hours per week with flexibility for occasional weekend emergencies or events.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Coordinate and facilitate individualized treatment planning and the review process for assigned children and youth.
- Clinical Support: Conduct clinically oriented family sessions in the homes of treatment foster families and provide support to foster parents.
- Advocacy: Represent children and youth in courts, schools, and other community agencies.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide appropriate interventions to resolve crises and be available for emergent calls after hours or on weekends when necessary.
- Compliance: Maintain comprehensive clinical case files and ensure compliance with DFS requirements, DELACARE regulations, and COA guidelines.
- Assessments: Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and home studies as needed.
- Administrative: Enter and maintain accurate data into PLC (FamCare) and DFS FOCUS systems.
Position Highlights
- Equipment: A laptop and mobile device will be provided for all PLC-related assignments.
- Location: This is a fully on-site position based in Newark, DE; remote work is not available.
- Duration: This is a temporary role (30–90 days) with the possibility of extension depending on caseload needs, though it is not currently available for permanent hire.
