Quality Inspector (CNC Manufacturing / Precision Machining) – Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in CNC or manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges)
- Experience operating or working with CMM equipment
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience entering and managing data in ERP systems
- Ability to communicate quality issues clearly and professionally
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Quality Inspector (CNC Manufacturing / Precision Machining) – Position Summary
- Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with engineering and customer specifications
- Support CNC manufacturing operations through detailed inspection and documentation
- Identify non-conforming parts and assist with quality improvements
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality standards across production
Quality Inspector (CNC Manufacturing / Precision Machining) – Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspection of machined components using precision measuring tools and CMMs
- Verify dimensions and tolerances per blueprints and technical drawings
- Document inspection results accurately in ERP system
- Identify, record, and communicate non-conformances to production teams
- Support calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized inspection area
- Collaborate with production teams to maintain quality standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Quality Inspector (CNC Manufacturing / Precision Machining) – Additional Qualifications
- Aerospace or tight-tolerance machining experience preferred
- Familiarity with ISO or regulated quality systems is a plus
- Experience with Zeiss or similar CMM systems preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized with strong documentation habits
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

* Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, or ring gauges.
* Conduct statistical studies to analyze or compare production costs for sustainable and nonsustainable designs.
* Coordinate equipment purchases, installations, or transfers.
* Create or interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, formulas, or blueprints for management or engineering staff.
* Design plant layouts or production facilities.
* Develop manufacturing infrastructure to integrate or deploy new manufacturing processes.
* Develop or implement programs to address problems related to production, materials, safety, or quality.
* Develop production, inventory, or quality assurance programs.
* Develop sustainable manufacturing technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, minimize raw material use, replace toxic materials with non-toxic materials, replace non-renewable materials with renewable materials, or reduce waste.
* Identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost, or efficiency of automation equipment.
