Title: Industrial Machinery Maintenance Technician
Pay: $22-$30 an hour BOE
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Summary of Duties of the Industrial Machinery Maintenance Technician
- Perform routine preventive industrial machine maintenance on a weekly basis as indicated by operating manuals
- Observe, test, and assess the operation of machines to detect the cause of malfunction
- Read and follow blueprints, sketches, diagrams, lubrication charts, operation manuals, and engineering specifications
- Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear
- Repair, replace, adjust, and align machinery and equipment parts using tools such as screwdrivers, electrical test meters, wrenches, and hoists
- Clean and lubricate machine parts and maintain repair and maintenance logs
- Use catalogs to order replacement parts, or source alternatives if not available
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery parts as required
Education / Training / Experience / Skills
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Some technical school training preferred
- Minimum 1 year forklift experience required
- Minimum 5 years Industrial Machine Maintenance experience required
- CNC maintenance experience preferred, but candidates with industrial maintenance experience will also be considered
- Industrial maintenance could include working on cranes, large saws, presses, mills and lathes, conveyors and related equipment in an industrial setting
- Electrical and wiring experience is a must
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays to support production requirements
Industrial Machinery Maintenance Technician Physical Requirements
- Frequently handle and lift materials ranging from 5 to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Able to squat, bend, and stand on feet for long periods of time

* Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
* Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.
* Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
* Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
* Assign schedules to work crews.
