Electrical Technician
Pay: $20–$40/hr (DOE)

Electrical Technician – Must-Have Requirements
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and troubleshooting principles
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Experience with industrial electrical maintenance, installation, and repair
- Ability to troubleshoot both solid state and analog/digital control systems
- Familiarity with 4–20 mA control circuits and proximity sensor systems
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing/shop environment
Electrical Technician – Position Summary
Performs maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems and equipment. This role supports shop operations by ensuring electrical systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with standards. Work includes diagnosing issues, repairing components, upgrading systems, and supporting preventive maintenance programs.
Electrical Technician – Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Repair and replace defective components in controllers, switchboards, switches, conductors, and electrical fixtures
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on machinery and equipment, including transformers, generators, exciters, and hydraulic/pneumatic devices
- Perform preventive maintenance on field electrical systems, equipment, and components
- Test solid state circuitry to identify defective components in digital and analog systems
- Troubleshoot and service cell prox circuits, frequency controls, and 4–20 mA control circuits
- Install enhancements and perform major electrical system upgrades
- Design, modify, and troubleshoot motor power control circuits
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
- Plan work activities using sketches, drawings, and work orders
- Coordinate schedules and tasks with other departments and teams
- Ensure completion and accuracy of all preventive maintenance documentation
- Identify and resolve complex electrical system issues
Electrical Technician – Additional Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 65 lbs occasionally (floor to shoulder)
- Ability to push, pull, carry up to 100 lbs as needed
- Frequent physical activity including bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and overhead work
- Ability to work in confined or tight spaces
- Repetitive use of hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, testing equipment)
- Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Ability to work in environments with heat, cold, noise, fumes, and electrical exposure
- Willingness to work occasional overtime beyond standard shift hours
