CNC Plasma Operator
Pay: $20–$22 per hour (DOE; higher negotiable for highly experienced operators)
Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift

CNC Plasma Operator – Must-Have Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/prints
- Ability to accurately read tape measures and calipers
- Experience operating CNC plasma cutting equipment (Burny 10 or similar systems preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb stairs and work in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
CNC Plasma Operator – Position Summary
The CNC Plasma Operator is responsible for operating CNC plasma cutting systems to produce precision-cut steel components. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to production plans, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced fabrication environment using Burny 10 controls and Hypertherm HPR260XD plasma systems.
CNC Plasma Operator – Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate CNC plasma cutting machines using Burny 10 control systems
- Set up and run Hypertherm HPR260XD plasma cutting equipment
- Read and follow production plans, blueprints, and job specifications
- Ensure accurate cuts and maintain quality standards
- Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment (suction lifts, magnets, etc.)
- Move and position steel materials safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Communicate production issues or equipment concerns to supervisor
CNC Plasma Operator – Additional Qualifications
- Experience in steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment preferred
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior CNC cutting, burn table, or plasma table experience highly desirable
