CNC Operator – Level 2
Schedule: Monday through Friday,7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Pay: $20 and up per hour, depending on experience
About the Role:
We are hiring Level 2 CNC Operators for the night shift in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for operators who can independently run CNC machines and produce quality parts but do not perform full machine setups or advanced troubleshooting. You’ll be responsible for keeping production moving, maintaining quality standards, and supporting overall shop output during the night shift.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce parts per work instructions
- Load and unload parts; start and monitor machine cycles
- Perform in-process quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Verify parts meet print specifications and quality standards
- Change tools and offsets as directed (no full setups required)
- Maintain accurate production counts and basic documentation
- Keep work area clean and follow all safety procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous CNC machine operation experience (Level 2)
- Ability to read basic blueprints and follow work instructions
- Comfortable using precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently on night shift
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed

- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments out of metal. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
- Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments, such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
- Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
- Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.
