Job Title: Bilingual Medical Assistant
Location: Palm Bay, Florida
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Pay Rate: $19 - $21 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Palm Bay, Florida. The ideal candidate will provide support to our medical staff and ensure a smooth patient experience. This position involves both administrative and clinical tasks to maintain efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and collecting specimens.
Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care, follow-up appointments, and treatment plans.
Handle administrative duties, including insurance verification and processing billing information.
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Assist with patient education and provide information on medications and treatments.
Qualifications:
Must be bilingual
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
Certified or registered medical assistant (CMA or RMA) is a plus.
Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

* Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
* Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
* Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
* Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
* Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.
* Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
* Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
