Medical Assistant | Port St. Lucie, FL | $18-$22/hour | Temp-Perm
Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to support clinical and front-desk operations. This safety-sensitive role involves direct patient care, administrative support, and collaboration with providers to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients, take vitals, update EMR with history & medications
- Assist provider with exams, procedures, and treatments
- Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, in-office diagnostics & CLIA-waived labs
- Administer medications, start/monitor IVs (if certified)
- Provide patient education and follow-up calls
- Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Handle front desk tasks: phones, scheduling, check-in/out, referrals
- Track inventory and order medical/office supplies
- Train new team members as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
- 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant
- CPR certification preferred; IV and phlebotomy experience a plus
- EMR and basic computer proficiency (Google Suite, Microsoft Office)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements:
