Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through attentive caregiving and behavior management
- Help facilitate inclusive learning experiences for children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities as necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Implement classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and respectful interactions among children
- Assist with documentation of children's progress and communicate observations to the lead teacher as appropriate
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting roles
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively with patience and consistency
- Experience working with students with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable
- Familiarity with childcare routines including preschool activities
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and caregivers
- Compassionate caregiving skills combined with a proactive approach to creating an inclusive learning environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week

- High school or equivalent (Required)
