This position reports to our global HQ in Cambridge, MA and is fully remote within the US. Travel is expected domestically and internationally when needed.

Who we are looking for:
As we continue to grow globally, we’re looking for a motivated and organized Business Development Director to serve as a leader and mentor for our Business Development Team. Leveraging your in-depth sales knowledge, ability to oversee sales targets and key performance metrics, and excellent relationship-building skills, your role will be critical to expanding our revenue opportunities across the organization through innovative prospecting and lead generation tactics.
What you will be doing:
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of BDRs to exceed performance targets, providing ongoing guidance, support, performance evaluation, and training to all team members.
- Establish and track sales targets for the team, reporting on monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and achievements to senior leadership.
- Develop and refine outreach strategies to improve conversion rates and pipeline quality
- Optimize the sales lead administration process, creating a metrics framework to maintain an accurate record of all sales leads and conversions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, sales, account management, commercial operations, solution leads to help drive our overall strategy and market share growth, while also working across teams to increase customer engagement and ensure brand consistency.
- Own onboarding and continuous training programs for new and existing reps
- Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth
- Foster a team culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement
What you bring to TriNetX:
- 5 years of business development and/or field sales experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical/life sciences industries.
- At least one year of experience managing team members, setting team sales targets, and tracking individual team member performance.
- In-depth understanding of the overall sales process, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
- Excellent customer/client relations skills, with the ability to effectively build relationships, convey complex technical concepts, answer questions, and address concerns as they arise.
- Acute sense of accountability and ownership when working toward measurable performance goals.
- High level of motivation and “self-starter” mentality, with a strong drive to help others succeed and achieve key performance indicators.
