Position Overview
TriMerge Consulting Group, P.A. is seeking experienced Healthcare IT professionals with Epic experience to support a large public health system. This role will provide application, technical, and implementation support across Epic systems and related healthcare IT environments.
Candidates must bring both technical expertise and an understanding of hospital operations, ensuring systems align with clinical and administrative workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Epic application and/or technical support within a healthcare environment
- Support system implementations, upgrades, and optimizations
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into functional solutions
- Perform system configuration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting
- Ensure alignment with established system build standards and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams
- Maintain documentation, workflows, and reporting as needed
- Support data integrity, system performance, and user adoption
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working in hospital or healthcare system environments
- Hands-on experience supporting Epic systems (implementation, optimization, or support)
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and operations
- Ability to work in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Experience Levels
Level 1 (1–3 years)
- Supports moderately complex tasks under supervision
- Assists with coding, testing, and system support
Level 2 (4–6 years)
- Gathers requirements and supports system design
- Works independently on complex components
Level 3 (7–9 years)
- Leads project components and supports planning
- Strong technical and stakeholder management skills
Level 4 (10 years)
- Senior expert / lead consultant
- Oversees major initiatives and provides strategic guidance
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic certification(s) (preferred, not required depending on role)
- Experience with Epic implementation or conversion projects
- Experience in large health systems or public sector healthcare
- Familiarity with compliance, data governance, and system standards
Performance Expectations
- Ability to ramp up quickly and deliver results
- Maintain high reliability and attendance in a critical care environment
- Support project timelines and deliverables with minimal disruption
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant healthcare IT experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Additional Preferred Credentials
- Epic certification(s) (module-specific, if applicable)
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, HL7, etc.) are a plus
