Job Title: Safety Management Systems Analyst

Location: Chino, CA, 91710 (Hybrid – Onsite 2 days/week; Tuesdays & Wednesdays or Thursdays)

Duration: 15 Months (Potential for extension)

Job Description

The Safety Management Systems Analyst will support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) within Edison Safety. As a Safety Management Systems Analyst, you will help ensure that safety initiatives, risk management activities, and quality assurance processes are effectively coordinated and aligned with organizational objectives. This role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

The Safety Management Systems Analyst will assist with Safety Risk Management, Management of Change (MoC), Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC), and Human Organizational Performance (HOP) activities. You will analyze data, support reporting requirements, track project deliverables, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational safety performance. The ideal Safety Management Systems Analyst should be comfortable working with leadership teams, presenting complex information, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Assist with SMS Risk Management, Management of Change (MoC), QA/QC, and Human Organizational Performance (HOP) activities.
• Support peers with SMS implementation, tracking, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Analyze complex data within applications such as Excel, Enablon, and Power BI.
• Develop presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Escalate safety or operational concerns to management when necessary.
• Apply process adjustments and improvements based on risk analysis and QA/QC findings.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and compliance.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Support regulatory and operational reporting activities as required.

Required Skills & Attributes

• Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Ability to lead teams in following processes and completing deliverables.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and Charts.
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and related reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments.

Desired Skills & Attributes

• Experience presenting information to senior leaders and executives.
• Experience working with Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Utility industry or electric utility experience preferred.
• Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance processes.
• Experience using Enablon and Power BI.
