Position Title: Tableau Server Administrator & Erwin Administrator
Location: Remote
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST
- 8 Hours per day
Position Overview
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a highly skilled Tableau Server Administrator and Erwin Administrator to support enterprise data visualization and data modeling platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Tableau Server administration, Tableau Desktop/Tableau Prep development activities, and administration of Erwin Data Modeler, Mart Portal, and ER360 environments.
This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to maintain secure, stable, and scalable reporting and metadata management environments. The candidate must also be eligible to pass OIT, FTI (IRS Publication 1075), and CJIS security background checks.
Key Responsibilities
Tableau Server Administration
- Administer and maintain Tableau Server environments.
- Monitor platform health, uptime, and overall system performance.
- Configure, upgrade, and patch Tableau Server environments.
- Manage Tableau vendor escalations and support cases.
- Administer user access, permissions, onboarding/offboarding, and content distribution.
- Manage data connections and scheduled data refresh processes.
- Support Dev/Test and Production environments.
Tableau Dashboard Development
- Develop, publish, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Create predictive and prescriptive analytics dashboards based on stakeholder requirements.
- Ensure dashboards comply with OIT design standards and Section 508 accessibility guidelines.
- Utilize Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep for data preparation and visualization tasks.
Erwin Administration
- Administer Erwin Data Modeler, Mart Portal, and ER360 environments.
- Manage licensing, user provisioning, and onboarding/offboarding activities.
- Maintain Mart Portal and ER360 server environments.
- Perform upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support.
Documentation & Support
- Create and maintain technical design documentation and operational procedures.
- Process and manage ServiceHub tickets in accordance with SLA requirements.
- Provide weekly status reports and communicate project updates to management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and participate in occasional onsite meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience administering Tableau Server environments.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep.
- Experience with Erwin Data Modeler, ER360, and Mart Portal administration.
- Knowledge of dashboard publishing, data refresh scheduling, and server configuration.
- Experience managing user security, permissions, and platform governance.
- Ability to troubleshoot platform, connectivity, and performance issues.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating predictive and prescriptive analytics dashboards.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Experience supporting segregated Dev/Test/Production environments.
- Experience working in government or highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticket management systems.
