Business Analyst (Criminal Justice Processing System)

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Business Analyst in Albany, NY.

Description:
This position will develop and/or maintain business requirements, test plans and test cases and perform functional and regression testing on applications. This position will also support applications in a help desk type environment.

This individual will be expected to participate in the following activities:
? Analyze system documentation and system artifacts to develop an understanding of the associated business process.
? Elicit business system requirements using one or more of the following methods: analyze current processes, interview users, conduct group meetings, review/analyze existing documentation or system artifacts.
? Document and analyze ?as is? and ?to be? business processes.
? Develop or maintain high-level and detailed system requirements in the form of clear business requirements documents, context diagrams, process flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and use cases.
? Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases.
? Develop or maintain user acceptance testing plans and help desk support guides.
? Develop detailed functional and system tests from documented system requirements. Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases.
? Develop or contribute to the development of regression tests and/or user acceptance tests.
? Execute functional and system tests, including regression tests. Participate in user acceptance testing.
? Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, performing retesting as required.
? Identify and document deficiencies in system documentation (e.g., missing or ambiguous requirements) identified during the testing process.
? Respond and work-through incident tickets submitted by users of business applications.

Mandatory Qualification:
? Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.
? Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

? 84 months of experience eliciting business requirements from business customers or system artifacts and maintaining such requirements.
? 84 months of experience developing business requirements and process documentation such as use cases, process flows, screen mock-ups, and data dictionaries.
? 84 months of experience creating test plans and test cases, executing functional and system tests including regression tests. Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases.
? 84 months of experience identifying and documenting application defects, tracking defects to resolution, and performing retesting as required.
? 24 months of experience with systems related to criminal justice processing (including but not limited to): statistical reporting, disposition processing, fingerprint identification processing, criminal history updating, Sex Offender management, tracking of Wanted/Missing persons, or other applications utilized by law enforcement.
