JOB SUMMARY:
Receptionist serves as the hospitals point of contact for visitors, departments, and callers. This position has the responsibility of providing information services and a positive and supportive relationship to the public, staff, and patients’ families and visitors in an expedient, professional and courteous manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED. Previous Experience in medical office setting preferred. Good organizational and customer service skills. Ability to work with confidential information. Efficient computer and clerical and office equipment skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

JOB SUMMARY:

- Greet patients, create a friendly helpful contact; monitor waiting time; maintain sign in
- verify physician orders as being complete and direct patients to correct areas
- Purge expired medical orders and filing of orders daily
- Assist registration clerks in verifying orders as complete and accurate
- Obtain and/or distribute patient information as needed to include signature, completion of forms, surveys, etc.
- Answer departmental phones and direct patient inquiries as needed.
- Communicates with facility departments when issues arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
