We are seeking a detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our team in the maritime manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend, shape, or form metal components according to blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications. You will play a vital part in ensuring precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Select proper tools, dies, and machine settings based on job requirements
- Measure and inspect workpieces during and after production
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures and company guidelines
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of prior working experience as a Press Brake Operator
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and standard shop documentation
- Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
