Position: Technical Analyst / Invoicing & Vendor Management
Location: Pomona, CA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Hire mode: Contract
Pay Rate: $20 - $24/hr on w2
Duration: 16 Months (Extension Possible)
Overview
This role serves as a key liaison between business users, vendors, and technical/financial systems teams. The Analyst will manage invoice processing, vendor relationships, data validation, and workflow coordination for the Vegetation Management (VM) group. The position requires strong communication, analytical ability, and comfort working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Serve as Point of Contact (POC) for assigned VM vendors.
- Process and validate invoices; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to contractual requirements.
- Track rejected invoices, identify causes, and coordinate resolution with internal/external stakeholders.
- Use work management system datasets to analyze trends, validate invoice data, and support process optimization.
- Lead meetings with internal teams and external vendors; prepare and distribute meeting minutes and follow-up documentation.
- Support data preparation and reporting needs for multiple projects.
- Coordinate with project teams and adjust tasks in response to changing requirements.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement within the invoicing workflow.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with work management and financial systems (SAP, Ariba, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple deadlines.
- Vendor management experience and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive problem-solving and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail.
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Strong communication and follow-up discipline.
- Project/program management experience.
- Prior utility industry experience preferred.
