About the Role
- The client is seeking an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) for Emerging Markets to join their Outside Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for winning new business, expanding the client’s footprint, and contributing to their overall growth strategy across assigned emerging markets.
- This is a field sales position focused on building partnerships with top local and regional restaurants through a transactional, fast-paced deal cycle. You will work closely with a Regional Sales Manager and will have access to key sales tools including sales sheets, gift cards, business cards, and more.
- The role requires extensive travel within the territory—primarily within a 2-hour radius of the home city, but may also include overnight stays, extended driving (6–7 hours), and occasional flights. All travel expenses are covered by the client and monitored for compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to and expand the client’s presence across emerging, rural markets in the region.
- Identify, pitch, and acquire new restaurant partners through face-to-face sales.
- Articulate the value of partnering with the client and negotiate revenue-share agreements.
- Manage a transactional sales cycle, closing new partnerships within days.
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager and utilize available sales resources effectively.
- Contribute to broader sales strategies and local market growth initiatives
Compensation
- Base Salary Commission
- On Target Earnings (OTE): ~$1,750/month in commissions
- Uncapped commission structure offering earning potential beyond OTE
Qualifications
- 2.5 years of sales experience, preferably in a closing sales role.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more to meet restaurant owners in destination markets.
- Strong combination of inside and outside sales tactics to drive results.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to design strategies, playbooks, and scalable processes.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment.
