About the role:
We are seeking an Associate Business Development Manager to join our team, who will work with clients to build custom campaign strategies leveraging Gratsy’s service offerings to achieve their business goals.
In this role, you will be support revenue growth and campaign development for some of the world’s largest brands. To be successful in this role, a candidate must have a strong record of client partnership, business development, and revenue generation in a similar market segment.
The ideal candidate is a passionate, client-focused leader that can think and plan strategically and deliver with excellence. Strong communication, negotiation, and partnership skills are required for success. In this role, the Associate Business Development Manager will collaborate to build solutions across tactics in response to client’s business needs, so adaptability and a curious mind are key skills.
How you'll make an impact:
This role will be responsible for supporting growth of a specific sales segment at Gratsy, including developing proposals, building client relationships, closing new business, and expanding the scope of work with existing clients. This individual will support select clients, acting as both a strategist and key communicator.
- Develop long-term, profitable and trusted relationships with clients
- Support and develop a sales pipeline to meet and exceed the company's annual sales goals, and provide regular updates to leadership and finance.
- Manage and grow existing client relationships through proactive account management.
- Ability to analyze market trends and client needs to customize activation strategies effectively.
- Produce and deliver detailed pitch presentations for clients showcasing Gratsy’s value proposition and leveraging all of Gratsy’s activation tactics.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create campaign strategies, creative concepts, and budgets that align to client goals.
- Ability to draft financial budgets and contracts for campaigns.
- Provide exceptional service to clients including ongoing relationship management and high-level oversight of campaign execution in partnership with Client Services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop new opportunities for revenue growth based on market trends.
- Work in partnership with internal teams to contribute to a high-energy culture that delivers collective success.
Role qualifications:
- 3 years of sales experience in a marketing or agency environment
- Proven track record of supporting and developing client relationships and campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or similar field
- Experience managing campaign budgets and financial tracking.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office to create proposals.
- Strong communication skills with both internal and external partners.
- Consultative seller who adopts an approach of customizing campaign scopes to client’s needs and priorities.
- Ability to think creatively to create unique customer experience solutions.
- Strong skills working within a cross-functional team.
- Embraces technology and maintains and uses sales tracking and project management tools.
- Ability to travel monthly for client meetings or event executions.
Additional preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience with sampling or direct to home marketing
- Previous experience with experiential or event marketing
- General knowledge of the CPG marketing industry, shopper marketing, and the competitive landscape
