Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Payrate: $27/hr - $30/hr on w2
Duration: 05/04/2026 to 05/03/2027
Working Hours: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, M–F)

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated QC Chemist to perform wet chemistry testing, support analytical validation activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing & Analysis
- Perform routine testing including IR, pH, solubility, and other wet chemistry analyses
- Execute wet chemistry validation protocols
- Utilize approved written procedures to conduct laboratory testing
- Identify and investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results with minimal supervision
Data Review & Documentation
- Conduct peer review of analytical data for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ensure data integrity
- Accurately document test results and observations
Compliance & Quality
- Follow compendial testing methods (USP/EP/JP)
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with GMP guidelines
- Adhere to laboratory safety and housekeeping standards
Instrumentation & Calibration
- Perform instrument calibration and verification as per schedule
- Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Troubleshoot analytical issues and determine root cause with corrective actions
- Demonstrate critical thinking and solution-oriented approach
Collaboration & Work Ethic
- Work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Take initiative and manage daily tasks and special projects independently
- Communicate issues proactively to supervision
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of wet chemistry techniques
- Understanding of USP/EP/JP compendial methods
- Familiarity with OOS investigations and root cause analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
- Excellent organizational, planning, and documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences with 3 years of lab experience
- OR
- Associate Degree with 5 years of relevant non-academic laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment
