Job Title: Mainframe Developer
Location: Mclean, VA (Onsite)
Type: Contract(W2 Only)
Rate: $50-$55/hr on W2
Job Summary
- 8 years of experience in Mainframe application development and production/application support.
- Strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM for developing and maintaining enterprise applications.
- Experience supporting mission-critical Mainframe systems, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring system stability.
- Proficient with Mainframe utilities and tools including Easytrieve, CA-7, File-AID, XPEDITOR, PANVALET, PANAPT, TSO/ISPF, and FTP.
- Experience working with VSAM datasets, GDG, fixed and variable block files, dataset allocation, and job execution.
- Knowledge of Job Scheduling, Incident Management, Problem Management, and root cause analysis for complex production issues.
- Ability to analyze business requirements, investigate application code, and provide effective solutions for complex business scenarios.
- Experience with COBOL-DB2 programming, CICS application development, and Mainframe batch processing.
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience is mandatory, with exposure to large-scale enterprise Mainframe environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in development and application support teams.
