Position: R&D Engineer - Chemical Engineering
Location: Bedford, MA 01870
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Pay Rate: $30–$35/hr. on W2
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day
Position Summary
- We are seeking a Junior/Entry-Level Product Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of innovative filtration products and technologies used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
- This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates (“Green Grads”) with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and basic laboratory experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, development, and testing of filtration products and technologies.
- Support technology and product development projects for bioprocessing applications.
- Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of filtration components.
- Support filtration and solid/liquid separation testing.
- Apply chemistry and engineering principles to product development activities.
- Analyze and process laboratory data.
- Support engineering projects through documentation and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with the R&D team to achieve project goals and timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Junior-level / entry-level experience.
- Recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Basic chemistry or biochemical laboratory skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Minitab for data processing.
- Strong ability to analyze, document, and report laboratory results.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Bedford, MA.
Preferred Skills
- Filtration experience.
- Bioreactor / cell culture experience.
- Chemical reactions and synthesis.
- Simulation software experience.
