Role: Mainframe Developer
Location: McLean, VA(Onsite, Preferred Local Candidates)
Mode: Contract(No Visa Sponsorship)
Required Skills:
- 8–10 years of IBM Mainframe development experience.
- Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- Experience with production support and troubleshooting.
- Banking domain experience (mandatory).
- Ability to analyze business issues by tracing COBOL programs and batch jobs.
- Experience with scheduling tools like CA-7 and utilities such as File-AID, Xpediter, and Panvalet.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance COBOL applications.
- Create and modify JCL for batch processing.
- Write and maintain DB2 SQL programs.
- Support CICS online transactions.
- Analyze production issues and provide fixes.
- Investigate complex banking transactions through code analysis.
- Handle incident management and problem management.
- Work with VSAM files, datasets, and batch processing.
- Prepare technical documentation.
- Collaborate with development and production support teams.
