Job Title: Construction & Safety Manager
Location: San Jose, CA (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: Up to $128/hr on W2
Duration: 8-Month Project
Experience Required: 8-10 Years
Local Candidates: Required (California experience mandatory)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction & Safety Manager to oversee construction management, safety, quality, and contractor coordination for capital projects involving retrofit/expansion of existing facilities, cleanroom installations, and semiconductor R&D equipment installations.
The selected candidate will manage an approximately $25M project with an 8-month schedule and must be available onsite daily to coordinate with contractors, safety teams, quality personnel, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage construction activities, contractors, schedules, and project execution.
- Promote and maintain a zero-incident safety culture.
- Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and construction codes.
- Coordinate change orders, inspections, permitting, and regulatory approvals.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and contractor performance.
- Lead safety, quality, and project review meetings.
- Provide project metrics, safety reports, and status updates to leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of construction management experience.
- Hands-on experience with commercial construction, cleanrooms, and chemical process installations.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, ACI standards, construction codes, and safety programs.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, accident investigations, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
- First Aid Certification
- CPR Certification
