Job Title: Construction QA/QC Engineer
Location: St. Louis (On-site)
Pay Rate: $55 – $60/hr on W2
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Job Summary
The Construction Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of construction processes, materials, and execution across assigned projects. This role focuses on QA/QC implementation, compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, while working closely with contractors and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans for construction projects
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and standards
- Review and approve quality documentation (inspection reports, test plans, material submittals)
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation
- Provide training and guidance on QA/QC processes to project teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial preferred), Construction Management, or related field
- 10 years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards
- Familiarity with industry regulations and QA/QC best practices
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/models
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality management tools
- Ability to work independently and within teams
