Sr. Project Manager III

Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager III to lead a high-visibility initiative to outsource and migrate a core banking platform from an on-prem environment to a vendor-managed Cloud model. This is a critical enterprise project that impacts IT, Deposit, and Loan operations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned banking PM with hands-on experience leading core platform conversions, migrations, upgrades, or acquisitions of other banks that impacted the core platform. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder leadership, vendor coordination, and the ability to operate effectively in environments with limited documentation. Why This role:

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for a Core banking platform Cloud migration.
• Manage executive stakeholder expectations and communication.
• Partner closely with a third-party vendor and internal IT and operations teams.
• Anticipate downstream impacts related to testing, integrations, data, and change management.
• Build and maintain a clear, executable project roadmap.
• Coach and mentor other project managers as needed.
  
  

Requirements

• 10 years of experience as a senior Project Manager.
• Recent, relevant experience in banking or financial services.
• Direct experience leading projects involving core banking platform changes (conversions, migrations, acquisitions, or major upgrades).
• Strong command of PM best practices (PMBOK-based).
• PMP certification.
• Experience with Smartsheet.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to succeed in environments with limited or incomplete documentation.
• Values in-person collaboration and relationship-building.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders.
• Professional, anticipatory leadership style.
