ServiceNow Developer

Summary

The ServiceNow Developer will focus on building and enhancing solutions on the ServiceNow platform through scripting, automation, integrations, and AI-driven capabilities. This position will partner closely with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, well-governed ServiceNow applications while maintaining platform performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Client-side and Server-side scripts including business rules, script includes, and UI policies.
• Build workflows and automations using Flow Designer and legacy workflow tools.
• Configure forms, fields, and user interface components to improve usability.
• Develop integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Create custom applications using ServiceNow Studio and AppEngine.
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Support platform upgrades, patching, and ongoing system health.
• Review code and ensure alignment with development and governance standards.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, scripting, and AI capabilities.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and the Glide API.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work primarily on-site with limited remote flexibility after an initial period.
  
  

Preferred

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
• Experience with ITSM, ITOM, or SAM modules.
• Background in API-based integrations.
• ServiceNow Administrator experience supporting coverage and continuity.
