Sr. IT Business/Quality Analyst

Summary

Our client is seeking a Sr. IT Business/Quality Analyst to deliver IT solutions aligned with their business needs, ensuring quality and timeliness. The Sr. BA/QA will lead complex projects with multiple analysts and stakeholders including conducting requirements sessions, organizing rollout activities, and providing training/support. The Sr. BA/QA will serve as the primary IT contact for business units, providing solutions and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with executives and other analysts to identify enterprise-wide solutions, adhering to SDLC and best practices.
• Conduct impact analysis of technology changes and provide recommendations.
• Lead business process improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and developers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Build and maintain workflows, process maps, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain compliance with IT standards, security policies, and best practices.
• Coordinate project plans and resource assignments; advise on deviations.
• Manage end-to-end requirements lifecycle, ensuring projects align with organizational goals and impact across business areas is considered.
• Lead elicitation, documentation, analysis, and translation of business requirements.
• Recommend tools, processes, and software solutions; ensure the integrity of requirements.
• Participate in vendor and user group activities to enhance solutions.
• Support QA, user acceptance testing, and release activities, and write SQL queries regularly.
• Regularly tackle complex tasks requiring specialized skills and judgment.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system issues and recommend viable improvements.
• Provide guidance to development staff and junior analysts; mentor junior and mid-level analysts.
  
  

Requirements

• 8 years in IT/business analysis or related roles.
• Experience working as a Lead Analyst on multiple large-scale projects (1500 hours).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
• Solid understanding of business applications, HTML, SQL, data modeling, interface design, and system integration.
• Experience with SQL, programming, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.
• Experience mentoring staff, facilitating cross-functional teams, and guiding project execution.

This is a 6-month-pus Contract opportunity with our Topeka, KS-based client. 100% Paid employee Medical/Dental Benefits, paid time off, Paid Holidays, and 401(k) (with immediately vested company match) available with TriCom during the contract period.
