An international company is seeking a Senior Accountant in Torrance. This is a direct hire opportunity offering great benefits.
- Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
- $70,304 - $90,000 per year, DOE

Requirements of the Senior Accountant:
- At least 5 years of accounting experience in corporate accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related, is preferred
- Experience with PCAOB-compliant financial statements
- Experience with monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing
- GAAP knowledge
- Experience using ERP systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Bilingual in Japanese is a big plus
- Team player with a positive proactive attitude
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Review and maintain general ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, statements of income, and statements of cash flows
- Account reconciliations against any discrepancies
- Consults with executive management for any irregular financial issues
- Supports preparation of quarterly and yearly budgets
- Approve and process timely payments to vendors and stakeholders
- Prepare consolidated accounting information and monthly reports
- Answers inquiries from financial and/or any auditors in Japan and the U.S.
- Performs bank reconciliations, wire transfers, and account maintenance
- Reconciles current assets and liabilities accounts on a monthly basis
- Review and maintain all tax documentations to ensure U.S. tax law compliance
- Prepare and file federal and state income taxes, state sales taxes, property tax, payroll taxes, business license tax, etc.
- Help enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Assist with audits
- Ad hoc reporting as necessary
- Support accounting department management with activities related to hiring, training, guidance, monitoring, and review of staff
- Other related duties to be assigned as needed
