Position Summary
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue, bookings, design wins, and distributor POS activity in an assigned territory. The role requires daily coordination with manufacturer representatives, distributors, OEMs, and internal teams. Success depends on disciplined use of NetSuite CRM, strong follow‑through, and ownership of all sales‑related desk work.

Essential Responsibilities
Sales Execution
- Achieve bookings, revenue, and margin goals.
- Identify target accounts and new opportunities.
- Qualify and manage opportunities through full sales cycle.
- Lead customer visits, presentations, and prototype discussions.
- Track samples and prototypes toward production.
NetSuite CRM and Forecast Discipline
- Maintain accurate account, contact, activity, and opportunity records.
- Log all significant interactions within 24 hours.
- Keep stages, values, and dates current.
- Use dashboards, saved searches, and reminders daily.
- Maintain an organized pipeline with no stale records.
- Treat the forecast as a daily planning tool.
Distributor Management
Corporate-Level
- Review stock rotation requests.
Local Branch and POS
- Build relationships with inside sales, field sales, and applications engineers.
- Provide product and application training.
- Identify and grow top POS end‑customers including OEMs and CMs.
- Drive joint calls, training, and demand‑creation activity.
Manufacturer Representative Leadership
- Onboard, and manage rep firms.
- Conduct QBRs and regular pipeline reviews.
- Ensure reps pursue OEM and distributor opportunities.
- Equip reps with pricing tools, updates, and sales collateral.
- Qualify rep-entered opportunities.
OEM Account Management
- Serve as primary contact for OEMs.
- Build relationships with engineering and purchasing.
- Coordinate samples, NRE quotes, and technical discussions.
- Ensure specifications, NDAs, and requirements are captured.
- Expand part count and share of business.
SLAs
- Standard product quotes within 8 working hours.
- CRM logging within 24 hours.
- No task or opportunity older than 5 business days without update.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work with Engineering, Quality, Fulfillment and Marketing.
- Ensure clean handoff from design‑in to production.
- Direct Sales Assistants for accurate quotes and order entry.
Compliance
- Follow pricing, ethics, and documentation policies.
- Represent Triad professionally at events and distributor meetings.
Required Qualifications
- AA degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years B2B sales experience.
- Strong organizational and follow‑through skills.
- Ability to lead without direct authority.
- Strong Excel skills and communication.
- Ability to travel within budget.
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite experience.
- Experience with electronic component distributors.
- Magnetics or power electronics background.
- Ability to interpret data sheets and specifications.
Compensation
- Salary commensurate with experience.
- Commission typically 10 percent of total compensation.
