What You'll Do
Being part of the Triad team as a Survey Crew Chief and with direction from the Survey Practice Leader, you will be responsible for leading field aspects of a project by planning, organizing and directing the daily work of the survey crew. Exposure to a wide variety of diverse responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
- Ensure safety is always prioritized
- Collaboration with Survey Supervisor and/or practice leader in scheduling and coordinating field work
- Supervise work of survey crew, evaluate priorities and coordinate and organize the work efforts without direct supervision
- Verify field survey activities are performed in accordance with standard procedures, standards set by applicable state statutes, and the ACSM
- Maintain equipment by cleaning, completing preventative maintenance and performing calibrations
- Communicate effectively with professional staff regarding projects
- Participate in business development and customer service
Desired Qualifications
- 5 years of experience with progressing responsibility in working on a survey crew required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional courses in mathematics and surveying - Preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
- Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
