Position Description
Tri-Township Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a Part-Time Social Studies Teacher to join our team following the first nine weeks of the 2026–27 school year.
This position offers a consistent part-time daily schedule and the opportunity to teach both middle and high school students in a small-school environment.
Teaching Assignment
The anticipated teaching assignment includes:
- 7th Grade Social Studies
- 8th Grade Social Studies
- High School Geography
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and deliver engaging social studies instruction aligned with Indiana Academic Standards.
- Create a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom environment.
- Assess student learning and use results to guide instruction and provide additional support when necessary.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and schoolwide goals.
- Maintain appropriate classroom and student records.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Perform other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
Qualifications
- Appropriate Indiana teaching license or ability to obtain appropriate licensure.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to effectively teach both middle and high school students.
- Commitment to student learning and building positive relationships.
