Full-Time Para-Professional

The elementary paraprofessional supports classroom teachers in providing a safe, positive, and effective learning environment for all students.

This role is flexible and may include assisting multiple grade levels, supporting student needs, and helping with general school operations.

Paraprofessionals play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of students.

Your responsibilities might include:

• Assisting in Instruction:
• Supporting teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
• Providing one-on-one assistance to students who require extra help.
• Assisting in multiple classrooms or grade levels as needed
• Behavioral Support:
• Assisting in managing and addressing challenging behaviors.
• Implementing behavior intervention plans as necessary.
• Collaboration:
• Working closely with regular education teachers and other professionals.
• Attending and participating in team meetings to discuss student progress.

• Lunch/Recess Support:
• Supervision in the cafeteria during lunch time or at lunch recess.

Additional Duties:

• Help with school events, field trips, and special activities
• Provide basic clerical support (copies, organizing materials, etc.)
• Step in to support where needed to ensure smooth daily operations
• This position may include supervising a non-instructional special (e.g., library/media) in alignment with school needs.
