Position Summary
Tri-State Medical Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive company growth by securing new contracts and partnerships with hospitals, healthcare facilities, case management groups, and insurance-related organizations.
This is a field-based, sales-driven role focused on prospecting, building relationships, negotiating agreements, and closing partnerships that generate consistent trip volume. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable walking into facilities, meeting decision-makers, opening doors, and turning relationships into long-term revenue. This role will also require managing marketing and promotional efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Base Salary: $70,000 – $95,000 (commensurate with experience)
Uncapped commission and performance-based incentives
Total compensation will be driven by individual performance and territory growth

Tri-State Medical Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive company growth by securing new contracts and partnerships with hospitals, healthcare facilities, case management groups, and insurance-related organizations.
This is a field-based, sales-driven role focused on prospecting, building relationships, negotiating agreements, and closing partnerships that generate consistent trip volume. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable walking into facilities, meeting decision-makers, opening doors, and turning relationships into long-term revenue. This role will also require managing marketing and promotional efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a network of healthcare facilities and referral partners across New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new contracts with: Hospitals, Discharge planning teams, Rehabilitation, Dialysis centers, Skilled nursing facilities, and Assisted living and other healthcare facilities.
- Consistently meet or exceed the company’s goals for new contracts and business growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with administrators, case managers, and referral coordinators
- Conduct inperson meetings, presentations, and negotiations
- Expand existing accounts and increase trip volume from current partners
- Research and identify insurance carriers and broker networks that manage NEMT, and complete provider enrollment and approval processes
- Work closely with leadership to develop territory growth strategies
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline tracking in CRM (Salesforce)
- Act as a brand ambassador in the healthcare community
- Handle promotional efforts, social media presence, and marketing materials for the company.
- Support events, outreach campaigns, and brand awareness initiatives as needed.
- 35 years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, or healthcare partnerships
- Strong understanding of medical transportation, NEMT, or healthcare operations is highly preferred
- Experience selling to or working with: Hospitals, Case managers / discharge planners, Healthcare facilities or insurancerelated organizations
- Proven track record of closing contracts or partnerships
- Cold outreach
- Inperson selling
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Highly selfmotivated, independent, and resultsdriven
- Willingness to travel locally throughout the territory
- Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce a plus)
